Dublin and Monaghan anniversary a time to reflect

This Saturday (17 May) will be the 51st anniversary of the Dublin and Monaghan bombings in which a coordinated series of blasts took the lives of 34 innocent people, including an unborn child.

The bombings resulted in the highest death toll for a single day during the Troubles and the anniversary serves as important date to reflect and remember all those who were impacted, particularly the families who have been left without answers for so long.

Everyone at Kenova will remember those affected by the atrocity on Saturday, and every victim and family touched by the Troubles. They should never be forgotten.

The bombings formed part of Operation Denton, Kenova’s analytical review of the Glenanne Series. The report on that review remains in the security checking process and we hope to make it available for publication later this year.
