Head of Kenova Sir Iain Livingstone has welcomed details of the transitional arrangements for Troubles-related investigations set out as part of new legislation.
Details of arrangements The Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023 announced this week includes the establishment of the Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR) and will allow for continued work to prepare or complete investigation reports.
Sir Iain said: "At the very heart of Kenova is our commitment to deliver the truth to families through fully investigating every case which fell within our terms of reference.
"We’re pleased that the transitional arrangements will allow us to conclude this important work.
"Kenova continues to work towards the completion and delivery of family and final reports."
