Kenova Lead, former Chief Constable Jon Boutcher has released the below statement following the publication of an article in the Sunday World which claimed the Kenova report was being held up.
He said: "I was surprised and incredibly disappointed to hear of the claims in a Sunday World article published today (23 January) that security chiefs are holding up the publication of the Kenova report.
"I can categorically state the Kenova report is not being held up by any intervention and it remains my intention to publish our findings as I have committed to do.
"I am still in the process of finalising this report which will then be shared with government agencies to make representation, as I am duty bound to do, before publication."
